Disability Action Center

The Disability Action Center’s (DAC) mission is to empower each member to reach their greatest level of independence. Our programs encompass a Career Readiness Center, Experience IT Co-Op, Education and Training, Health and Wellness, Life Skills and Independent Living, Reading and Literacy, Assistive Computer Technology, Self-Advocacy, Fitness and Exercise, Information and Referral and Social and Recreational Opportunities. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Since launching in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has become the preeminent early childhood book gifting program in the world. The flagship program of The Dollywood Foundation has mailed well over 100 million free books in Australia, Canada, The Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom and the United States. The Imagination Library mails more than 1.4 million high-quality, age-appropriate books each month to registered children from birth to age five. Dolly envisioned creating a lifelong love of reading, inspiring them to dream. Make-A-Wish Foundation

Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We seek to bring every eligible child's wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. National Alliance on Mental Illness

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979 has blossomed into the nation's leading voice on mental health. Today, we are an alliance of more than 600 local Affiliates and 48 State Organizations who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need. Sacramento CASA

The CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) vision is that 'every abused or neglected child in Sacramento County who needs an advocate has one.' CASA volunteers are the eyes and ears of the court, advocating on a one-to-one basis for the best interest of children in the Sacramento County foster care system. Soldiers’ Angels 

Soldiers’ Angels is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides aid, comfort, and resources to the military, veterans, and their families. Founded in 2003 by the mother of two American soldiers, hundreds of thousands of Soldiers’ Angels “Angel” volunteers assist veterans, wounded and deployed personnel and their families in a variety of unique and effective ways. Together Rising

Together Rising transforms collective heartbreak into effective action. In a world where crises abound and heartbreak is in every community, people who want to help often don’t know where to turn.
