PCG Cares helps fight hunger
In honor of World Food Day on October 16th, members of PCG Cares volunteered with organizations across the country dedicated to feeding the hungry and helping those in need. Check out a snapshot of how PCG staff helped empower their communities this month below!
Members of PCG’s Indianapolis team served in the Hunger Relief Kitchen at Second Helpings, an organization that rescues prepared and perishable food from wholesalers, retailers and restaurants to prevent unnecessary waste. That rescued food is used to create 4,000 hot, nutritious meals each day that are distributed to more than 90 social service agencies that feed people in need.

PCG staff in Medford, Massachusetts participated in their first food donation delivery event with Heading Home. This nonprofit runs a network of Emergency and Family Shelters throughout the greater Boston area. On the second Friday of every month, they receive about three tons of food from the Boston Food Bank and Loving Spoonfuls, and can always use the help unloading and organizing the food to ensure their guests don't get hungry. The team unloaded 3.2 tons of food and had a blast!
