Many organizations have begun to formally recognize and emphasize the importance of addressing inclusivity for all people. Although this usually entails the use of non-stigmatizing, bias-free language, the same principles apply to the way we collect and report demographic data in evaluation work. As such, Public Consulting Group (PCG) is proud to share its latest guidance on best practice for collecting and reporting data related to race and ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity. By summarizing findings from leading industry sources, this report aims to move evaluators toward more culturally and linguistically appropriate standards (CLAS) for data collection and reporting by establishing guidelines for the work we do for our clients and the people we receive information from.
