Experian Credit Check Issue
On 11/30/19, due to a setting error, Experian posted credit inquiries as ‘hard inquiries’ on behalf of PCG.
A ‘hard inquiry’ is a credit inquiry which is visible to creditors and impacts a credit score.
All inquiries have been corrected and changed to a ‘soft inquiry’.
A ‘soft inquiry’ is only visible to the consumer, not creditors, and has no effect on a credit score.
This correction was completed by 12/3/19.
Affected consumers can contact Experian at publicsectorclientmanagement@experian.com to confirm the inquiry has been corrected.
